The challenge

Horizon Care provides care and support for people with complex needs across the UK. Recruiting for care positions remains challenging, and Horizon Care sought an experienced partner to help them deliver bulk recruitment across all of its sites.

The solution

Jiggle worked with Horizon Care to fully understand its aims as a business and assess what staffing would be needed to achieve this. Taking a partnership approach, Jiggle planned and delivered a comprehensive recruitment service, tailored to Horizon Care’s distinct requirements. This included a marketing campaign and recruitment event schedule to attract potential talent, as well as a dedicated Local Account Expert providing an experienced single point of contact throughout the process. Jiggle took care of all screening, interviewing and shortlisting to ensure safe recruitment compliance and that the best possible candidates were placed in post. Jiggle was also integral to the onboarding process, making it smooth and hassle free for both Horizon Care and its new employees.

The results

Horizon Care’s goal was to welcome 250 new employees in 2022, but with the help of Jiggle 311 people joined the team that year.  

Jiggle also supported them with intelligent workforce planning, which supports business continuity whilst also preventing overbooking of temporary shift cover, and means agency time is used efficiently.  

Horizon Care saved, on average, almost 50% versus a traditional agency model, by embedding Jiggle into its organisational approach. Rather than individual roles being recruited for on a commission basis, by working in partnership as an extension of Horizon Care’s in-house team ROI was increased over time and the quality of candidates was higher. Jiggle can flex according to the needs of the client, making it more cost effective than increasing the size of the HR team whilst still being responsive to the demands of the organisation and the sector.
