Internal recruitment in a veterinary practice

Exploring recruitment options

How does Jiggle work with clients to help them consider developing internal staff as part of their approach to recruitment?

The challenge

Jiggle was approached by an independently owned and operated veterinary practice with sites across the Sheffield region, seeking a high level administrative and compliance role reporting to the director/owner.

Two people sat at a desk during an interview.

The solution

Jiggle’s team met with them and discussed the staffing challenges they were experiencing and the problems they wanted the role to resolve. As a SME they were short on time to recruit and budget. The directors and owners needed a reliable right hand person who simply put could “get the job done”. We put together a bespoke plan to help, identifying extremely strong candidates from our UK wide network. We also explored with directors the internal candidates they already had and how they could resolve their operational challenges without incurring the time and cost of external recruitment.

The result

Following our discussions, it was identified that the internal candidate, with support and mentoring, was the right person for the role. Although this meant Jiggle didn’t receive an introduction fee from the placement, we were delighted that we were able to help partner with director to identify the right solution for the business. We continue to support them to recruit externally for other roles on an ongoing basis.
